Our Current Focus
RETIREMENT SECURITY
Being a firefighter means bearing health and safety risks that do not exist in other occupations. That’s why we must fight to secure our retirement system in California so that we can safely retire. CPF is currently advocating for AB 1383, which lowers the retirement age for public safety officers from 57 to 55, addresses compensation limits, and ensures firefighters have security after their service.
MEMBER ACTION CENTER
Member advocacy is critical to our fight for safer workplaces, fair hours and wages, and strong retirement and benefit protections. When you step up and take action, you help ensure firefighters’ voices are heard where it matters most.
Take Action Today.
Get Involved
Firefighters never back down from a challenge, on the front lines or in the fight for our rights. The protections, benefits, and wages we have today were not given; they were earned through relentless activism. But the fight isn’t over. We need every member to stand together, stay informed, and be ready to take action when it matters most.
