EVENT FAQ

What is the timeline for the rally and hearing on the 24th?

The Senate Labor, Public Employment, and Retirement Committee will begin at 9:30 am. We do not have an exact time when the bill presentation will begin, as it is up to the committee to decide the order in which bills are heard. Attendees should plan to be engaged until the early afternoon.

Is there a way to attend the hearing virtually for members who may be on duty?

The hearing will be livestreamed by the committee via the Senate media page. This will be for viewing only, as there is no way to participate in a legislative hearing remotely. The hearing can be livestreamed by going to this link on the 24th: https://www.senate.ca.gov/calendar. Look for the Labor, Public Employment, and Retirement Committee in the list.

Will locals be able to meet with their legislators?

CPF will not be booking meetings between legislators and their locals, but we encourage all locals who are able to schedule a meeting with their legislators while they are in Sacramento. Members can meet with legislators to encourage their support or thank them for prior votes. A spreadsheet listing all legislators with their represented locals can be found here, along with the contact information for their scheduling staff.

Where can I find more information about the bill?

CPF has compiled several resources for locals, including frequently asked questions, a one-page overview of the bill, and presentation slides from the virtual town hall that was hosted on June 10, 2026.
